The Courier-Journal is reporting that U of L basketball coach Rick Pitino told Louisville police that he had consensual sex with Karen Sypher on Aug. 1, 2003, but he denied her allegation that he raped her.

Pitino did say that he gave Sypher $3,000 to have an abortion.

The C-J obtained the information through open records requests.

The C-J reports that prosecutors who have reviewed the charges do not believe that Pitino will be charged.

Syphers has been indicted on extortion charges.

May 7, 1997 seems like yesterday: “You never say goodbye. You only say hello” It’s not exactly been a ride into the sunset, has it?

They are both slimey and give me the creeps when I see either one. People like that actually deserve each other. I have this sweet image of rick & karen being handcuffed together in hell and the Viagra being just out of reach…sad and pathetic.

I wonder what these two Catholics say during confession? Well at least we know Rick Pitino used Bill Clinton’s definition of consensual sex.

hey “FeedUs”, if you are truely a UL fan then the worst thing in for your program is to be saddled with this now damaged, reduced, flawed coach for the next 4-5 years. as a UK fan that is exactly what I wish on our Little Brother, that they now have to suffer with a coach who everyone in the world knows is morally bankrupt.

The best thing that could happen to the UL program is if Pitino announced his resignation this morning, let Willard be the interim coach this season, then start a comprehensive job search. How is Pitino going to look the mom’s & aunt’s & grandmother’s of recruits in the eye, knowing that THEY know he is unfaithful to his wife and has paid for at least one abortion….and who is dumb enough to think this is the only time the man has strayed into inappropriate immoral behavior? So yes UL fans you can have Coach Coathanger for the next decade for all us UK fans care, watch us win championships while you wallow in the filth with your coach….you wanted him, you’ve got him!

That’s the great thing about being christain…forgiveness. ;)

I saw a funny bumper sticker years ago in KY it said, “I may not be perfect, but I’m saved!” I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

Who hasn’t had at least one abortion, FeedUs? Me, for one. I became pregnant three times and gave birth three times, even though for economic reasons I could easily have justified an abortion for any or all of them. Abortion is like suicide, a permanent solution to a temporary problem, and it was never an option for me. Today all three kids are adults and doing well.
