Will Ashley Judd switch allegiances to Crimson?

Kentucky’s most famous basketball fan, Ashley Judd, is returning to school.

But not her favorite basketball school.

As our Lu-Ann Farrar tells us this morning, Ms. Judd has enrolled at Harvard to work on a master’s degree in public administration at the John F. Kennedy School of Government. The 41-year-old will join a class of 200.

Judd was in the news recently when Alaska Gov. Sara Palin took an unnamed shot at Judd, referring to her as a “tiny Hollywood starlet,” over a public service add Judd did about Palin shooting wolves from an airplane.

But who cares about that? What we want to know is if Ashley will suddenly turn up at Harvard sporting events in a tight crimson-and-white t-shirt?

She will be more at home politically at Harvard than in central Ky, but UK fans can and should overlook her politics all other UK fans’ politics. We know she is a fellow Cat fan.
