Reports out of Miami tell us that Brian Hartline, wide receiver from Ohio State, is making quite an impression as a fourth-round pick of the Miami Dolphins.
Oh yeah, Brian is also the brother of UK quarterback Mike Hartline.
This from the “Rapid Report” done by CBS Sportsline’s Jeff Shain:

Rookie WR Brian Hartline turned in a standout effort, with two highlight grabs among his four catches. A diving snare of Chad Henne’s deep throw came in 7-on-7; he later outjumped CB Sean Smith for a Chad Pennington pass.
This from the Miami Herald’s Armando Salugero:
Brian Hartline was the most active of any previous practice, catching three passes in one-on-one drills vs. the defensive backs. Fellow rookie Patrick Turner also continues to impress indoors. He beat Will Allen twice in the one-on-ones and one of those went for a TD on a deep pass.

Not surprised at all. Tho hardly a star at Ohio State, Hartline was steady and reliable, and able to pick up the slack when asked of him if Brian Robiskie was being doubled the last couple of years in Columbus. Ohio State is known for producing such players, who, if they’re not expected to be stars, can at least be counted on to be prepared to do their jobs efficiently and productively.
