I am sitting in my office eating “Dominos”. My office is in the Philippines. I am from N.Y. and know that for me, Domino’s stinks. Here however, I order double cheeze with no toppings and I get by.

Pizza is what you are used to. When I lived in S.C. I thought I would open up a N.Y. style Pizza place. I was sitting in Papa John’s and having pizza with my (then) ten year old daughter. I told her my idea on opening a “real” pizza place. I said this one (Papa John’s is the best I have found in S.C. She informed me that the kids at school hated it.

Oh well. It’s all how you are raised.

But very fortunate for those of us raised in N.Y. with the best of the Best. Try Lenny’s Pizza in Howard Beach.
I wish I were there.

Catlanta, UK has been serving Papa Johns pizza at Rupp and Commonwealth for sometime now. It’s not like this is a new partnership.

No chain pizza is “real” pizza. Go to New York City and get a slice and everything else will taste horrible from that point on.

What’s important about this story is the inroads Cal is making, at least publicly, with Papa John’s, a longtime supporter of da filthy cahds.

Real pizza or not, I think everything Coach Cal is doing “really” makes him a “real” guy. I don’t consider myself a basketball fan, but he’s turning me into one. I think the upcoming season will be electric on so many levels.
