At SportsIllustrated.com, Luke Winn writes that when he entered Madison Square Garden for last night’s NBA draft, he noticed the seating arrangement had new UK coach John Calipari sitting directly behind U of L coach, and rival, Rick Pitino.
Winn said he never saw Cal sit in that seat, however.
Excerpt:
The ego-cramping in that scenario would’ve rivaled the physical cramping that occurred when the NBA seated Shawn Bradley and Manute Bol back-to-back at the 2004 draft. Pitino eventually sat in his seat while Calipari — at least while I was in the room — avoided his, which meant no awkward photos, and no opportunity for Kentucky fans to create Photoshops of him putting his feet in Pitino’s hair.

I can’t beleive with all the other issues in life that someone would be so hung up and such silly and stupid things as this. Kentuckians need to get a life and grow up.
outside of being in a kentucky newspaper and passed on by a guy who lives in kentucky, we (Kentuckians) had nothing to do with any of this …
lighten up.
kentuckians need to get a life and grow up? this article was on sportsillustrated.com, right? that’s what it said . . .
obviously, this was put on here for uk fans who come here to read about uk - anything and everything about us, our players, our coaches - in the news
so, why are you here? on our page, talking about kentuckians? spelling believe incorrectly? me thinks you need to be the one to grow up and get a life . . .
Again Kentucky gets NO RESPECT.
99.9% of the Media, Referees, and NCAA “heads” WORSHIP at the alter of the ACC. They would NEVER think of investigating UNC, Duke, etc. They would have to find Osama Bin Laden in the ACC Locker Rooms with videotape before they would THINK of getting to the bottom of their “squeaky clean record” (which is really easy if you are NEVER investigated).
Nonetheless UK will EARN its’ respect on the floor and bring back a NCAA Championship by 2011.
GO CATS!
