John,
Maybe you can clear this up. Tennessee is reporting a violation because a staff member commented on a prospect who had committed to the football team. This afternoon, UK released a statement from Calipari referring to John Wall by name. Why is this not a violation? Are there different rules for different sports? Had the UT kid not signed his letter of intent yet (the article only says he “committed”)? It seemed inconsistent to me.
Calipari did not use Twitter to comment on John Wall until after Wall had signed his letter-of-intent this afternoon. Tennessee used Twitter to comment on a player who had committed, but not yet signed.
