ESPN’s Andy Katz writes that John Wall could make a decision this weekend, and believes the Raleigh, N.C. guard will choose between Kentucky and Miami.
Writes Katz:
A John Wall decision could come as early as this weekend, with Miami and Kentucky the two likeliest destinations for the top point guard in the Class of 2009. The Word of God Christian Academy (Raleigh, N.C.) playmaker could elevate either one of these programs to the NCAA tournament. But Wall does not have to sign by the end of the spring signing period Wednesday.
If Kentucky lands him, the drama was unnecessary (based on his original destination being Memphis when John Calipari was the coach). If Miami gets Wall, you can chalk this down as one of the top recruiting coups of the past 10 years. Hurricanes coach Frank Haith will have pulled off quite a feat if he gets Wall to replace Jack McClinton, making the Canes an NCAA team and ensuring Miami is a must-see destination for hoops for the next 10 months.

He is chosing the Kats. Thats what my grandma said and I never doubt her. GO CATS
I felt myself it would be between KENTUCKY or Miami. The problem with Miami is their schedule. Very poor, most of the schools they play have a losing record, this does not help a quality player like Wall. It should be KENTUCKY, where he can really be tested; and improve his game. But who knows?
He better choose UK if he wants to be on TV, and be part of the #1 recruiting class by Coach Cal. They will win a NCAA Championship in the next couple of years. I remember the year Rick Pitino won the championship. He had at least 10 starters on that team, and they all have great careers now.
That’s what my dog says too. I never doubt him either.
Cifton will see to it that Wall goes to Miami. He’s afraid Calipari will shut him out.
Money talks…
It’ll be interesting to see what the implications of John Wall signing with the Cats will be on which players leave the team.
Cheers,
James
