He needs Mitch Barnhart to do the scheduling for him. Spurrier would love to get to play Norfork State instead of Clemson, etc. You can have him for one payment of $19.95 and as a bonus if you call in the next 30 minutes we’ll throw in our football coach who wonders why you can’t get respect by playing the 59th ranked schedule in the country and the worst in the SEC.

wow Tom, you sure are ignorant and uneducated about this subject, aren’t you? South Carolina this season plays powerhouse Florida Atlantic and 1-AA South Carolina State. Last season they played Wofford and UAB.

In other words, pretty much what UK does, and what the rest of the SEC does. Glad to help Tom, come back anytime for an education on college football, always glad to assist those who are less knowledgeable on a subject so they don’t look so stupid in the future!

In addition, Tom, Clemson is a rivalry game for SC. Like U of L is for us. Not long ago, U of L was a top 10 program beating UK like a drum each year. That game cannot be looked at as a cupcake scheduling move. That is our non-conference rival, and at times they have been very good. Recently we are winning that game. Also, we were losing many of the “so called” easy games against Ohio U and similar mid-major schools. Now we win those and get a big upset or two each year (e.g., National Champ LSU; top 10 UGa). Admittedly we can’t seem to beat UT even when down, or UF. But we will get there.

jhb, maybe you’d like to tell me about how successful our program was last year. Like finishing last in the Eastern Division? Not beating a team in the regular season with a winning record? How many times has South Carolina lost to Kentucky in Spurrier’s tenture there? Of course we’re proud of what we’ve accomplished in going to three NIT type bowls. In balmy Tennessee. And the effects these bowl wins have had on recruiting. Go ahead knowledeable one, tell me about it. I love to listen to someone who is tickled to death with the progress of the program. Drink some more of Barney Koolaid and enlighten us.

Wow, they are actually playing a school we needed to beat to go bowling a year or so ago. And isn’t South Caroiina STate in the same conference as Norfork State? HOw dare then to play the quality of teams we need to get to Tennessee for a bowl. Clemson and North Carolina State, both BCS schools are easy too. Boy, you’ve taught me alot. I bet we’ve actually beat them and Spurrier and I missed it. Didn’t the Gamecocks go to Florida for a bowl last year? Gawdy, gawdy! I bet if you look at their schedule in the last few years I think they might have beaten Florida and Tennessee too. So, wise ole sage, tell me how we’re on a par with them. I love to listen and learn from a master.

The rest of the SEC is pretty much successful. And if they aren’t they find a new coach. Vandy would be the exception. But hey, haven’t they saved our butt many times from being last in the EAST. At Kentucky we weakened the schedule and given the coordinator of the 106th rated offense in the country the title of “coach in waiting’. Good stuff ole wise one, Nothing expected, no disappointments’, right?
