WREG now backtracking on Calipari report

After posting that a source had said John Calipari is leaving Memphis for Kentucky, WREG in Memphis is now couching its report. The new headline says: “Calipari Reportedly Wavering on Decision.”

Excerpt:

HOWEVER, we have been told by someone close to the Calipari family that John Calipari keeps changing his mind and nothing is definite.

Yawn…growing tired of this…do we want a coach that has such a hard time deciding?

Memphis’s Fox station is reporting a charter plane was sent to Memphis for John and should land at 5:15 p.m CDT.

I do not mind him taking a reasonable amount of time to make up his mind. I think fans of either team should not want him to have any true regret when he finally does make his decision, and I don’t want to have a Billy Donovan-Orlando Magic situation here at Lexington.

The Memphis Commercial Appeal Newspaper just reported that a private jet was scheduled to take off from Memphis and land in Lexington, KY. Now, that doesn’t mean that Calipari will be on it, but he could be on it. I know planes fly all the time between Memphis and Lexington, but today? This afternoon? Hmmmmmmmmmm

John, have you heard the rumor that a charter flight is leaving Memphis international and whatever airport there is in gainsville. Apparently the two planes are headed for Kentucky, where a Top Gun-esque dog fight will ensue to see who the new UK coach is.

If Capilari comes to Lexington, then great.. If not, then Travis Ford is the man for the job….. We know Ford would be loyal and not need 3 days to “think about it”… I think Calipari is staying in Memphis.. He’s just trying to get as much money out of Memphis as he can..

Of course he’s coming, this sleazebag is playing this for every bit of press and suspense he can milk.
He’s going to have UK fans in orgiastic rapture when he finally arrives in Lexington with his cape and crown on.

Yep, Cal’s a drama queen. After last season is about the only time he DIDN’T play this game in Memphis. Good luck, y’all.

This is another mistake on the part of Barnhart. He has made so many bad decisions in the past he is ready to try and win at any cost by hiring this clown.
