I totally agree with Mike Casey. I have heard from other former UK players that have the same opinion of Billy G. The sooner UK sends him back to Texas the basketball program will begin to improve. UK does not need a “smart ass” person like Billy G as its basketball coach. Since he has no contract, there should not be a problem sending him on his way now.
that picture pretty much sums up the fair and unbiased work of college basketball officiating this year. It’s just like the announcers during the games always say…”all leather”
I was glad to finally get a proper explanation of the LSU no call from one of the brilliant ESPN analysts. Apparently, when the clock is under a minute, it’s actually NOT a foul to clear out a defender with your off-arm. Jay Bilas even confirmed this under one minute tine-zone and assured all of us fans around the country that what the LSU player did was perfectly legal. He also noted that one cannot expect a player like Jodie Meeks to receive a foul call, hit on the arm or not, on a last second shot. He then went on to clarify that such a call could only be made for a player of the caliber of a Nick Calathes.
I’ve been looking for this article in the rule book, but unfortunately I’m not as intelligent as any of the analysts, and cant’ seem to locate it. If any fan out there has been able to find the page number, I’d love to check it out.
