It is over now anyway. Grayson admitted on WTVQ last night that he made a mistake. He is like the rest of us. He has a great passion for this team and gets frustrated when we lose one like we did. He typed before he left his emotions calm down. He has apologized and I am sure learned a valuable lesson. Let's just hope that we don't have any more performances like this one that may cause us all to say things we will regret later.

You can be critical of Trey if you want to, but consider that he said the same thing that many people were thinking and probably didn't consider that the mainstream media would pick up on a non-political comment written on his twitter account. I seriously doubt he intended to call Stewart out so publically.

I noticed on a license plate yesterday about Kentucky's Unbridled Spirtit.
Then I realized that UK's basketball team has been "bridled" all year under
Mr. Gillispie. The team's effort in the second half against LSU was something
we have not been allowed to see all year. Some have said this team has not enough talent, but I have disagreed all year. We have watched a sluggish,
unorganized and predictable offense almost all year. We have enough young
men who have shown talent this year and wondered why they disappear for such
long periods of time. Coach G. has been pulling back on the bit keeping
them with broken spirits and embarassing public insults. It is far past time
to let these young men "spit the bit" and be allowed to play without the fear
they have played under this entire year. I feel for all these young men,
however the "coach?" has fielded a starting line-up that again had us battling
back from double-digit deficits as we have most of the year. These boys are
human-beings with feelings and have had to eat all our criticisms this year
including my own stupid remarks. Hang in A.J., Josh, Kevin, Andre, Darius
and all the young men involved in the program. Thank you!

What a disgrace to have a Ky. governmental official embarassing an individual
UK player in public. Who was it who admitted that he made "a critical,
critical, critical" mistake in the game. It of course was Coach G. When Mr.
Grayson comes under fire from the public sometime in his political career, then
let it be known who "threw the first stone." Keep your nose in Frankfort and
try to help straighten out some political situations we face everyday.
I am sure that Trey never made a "trey".

Yeah, only semi-anonymous internet trolls are allowed to blast players for playing poorly. Shame on Trey Grayson for using his real identity to do what we all do daily.

I agree this is not a nice thing to do but he's just following Billy's lead in throwing players under the bus.

Between the fans and media all over the state repeatedly talking about how the players just aren't very good and Billy repeatedly telling everyone that will listen that his players just aren't very good, how do you think it feels to be a UK player right now?

He should not criticize a college basketball player. It irritates me when anyone publicly criticizes individual athletes on the college or high school level (including coaches who say that they should not have subbed one player....we can figure out who he subbed when LSU made their comeback!)
The game yesterday was not won or lost on one shot or one blown defensive assignment. You can go all the way back to the beginning of the game and Coach Billy G not starting his best line up. Good coaches make adjustments....look at Duke and Coach K making changes with his point guards this late in the season.
