I've used CoverItLive before for lots of different types of events, both as the blogger and as a reader. My experience is that the moderator in crowded live blogs doesn't approve every comment, maybe not even most of them.

I fully support you using your discretion - don't feel like you need to approve everyone's comments! It's a blog, not a chat room.

The new format doesn't have any effect on Twitter. You should have received more than 2 last game. If same thing happens today, let me know.

I go to the home games & enjoy the "Tweeter" post to my cell phone which doesn't appear to work with the new format. I only received 1 maybe 2 updates during the game last time. So at least for home games I prefer the old way. Thanks for your hard work!

I agree with this reader completely. I live in Indianapolis and often can't watch the games, so I go to your blog for your coverage. For the Lamar game, I spent maybe five minutes on the blog and had to leave, because I didn't want to swim through all the comments to find what exactly was going on. The new format was disappointing, because your blog is really the only way I can follow all the games.

I like the old format, because it is easier to follow and you still have the option of comments on a separate link. Is the point of the new blog to get more hits via an easier format to comment, or do you just want to have a different format for commenting?

Personally, I would rather see this Web site as a true live blog instead of a message board. The clutter-less live blog is more user friendly. But I'm sure the new format could be improved, hopefully.

Thanks,
Katy
