From Davis Wade Stadium:
- Final: Kentucky 14, Mississippi State 13.
- For some reason, WebPress went down in the final two minutes. Those following on twitter know that Robbie McAtee inetercepted pass with 1:01 left to clinch the victory.
- Tydlacka sails punt into end zone. State takes over at 20 with 1:50 left.
- Kentucky forced into fourth down, but State uses final time out to stop clock with 1:58 left. Ball on the Bulldogs’ 40-yard line.
- State moves out to 48, but can’t convert on fourth-and-seven, giving ball back to UK with 3:18 left. Cats still lead 14-13.
- UK fails to get first down, but Masthay booms 72-yard punt that ends in touchback. State takes over at own 20 with 5:14 left.
- Adam Carlson’s 27-yard field goal hits the left upright and bounces back. UK clinging to 14-13 lead with under seven minutes remaining.
- Pass interference penalty on Lindley all but nullifies the sack.
- Huge sack by Ventrell Jenkins costs State 11 yards.
- UK blocks punt, but play is nullified by offsides penalty. That sets up fourth-and-one at 35. State’s Lee then hits Clark for five-yard gain and first down. Bulldogs just wasted a time out with 10:18 left, ball on Kentucky 30.
- State’s Dominic Douglas intercepts Cobb over the middle, giving State ball at own 41 with 12:05 left. Second straight UK turnover.
- State turns turnover into points as Stallworth takes short pass, jukes past McAtee, and scores a 10-yard touchdown with 13:57 left in game. But, and a big but, UK blocks the extra point to preserve 14-13 lead. State was also called for unsportsmanlike conduct after touchdown, so will be kicking off from 15-yard line.
- End of third quarter: UK 14, Mississippi State 7.
- Ought oh, Alfonso Smith fumbles at UK 31 and State’s Cortez McRaney recovers with 8 seconds left before end of third.
- Riverboat gambler Rich Brooks makes out well, as UK ends up driving 82 yards in 12 plays with Cobb hitting a wide open Maurice Grinter for the three-yard touchdown pass. Kentucky now up 14-7 with 2:42 left in the third quarter. Cobb had a nice 15-yard run to the MSU 3 before he threw the touchdown pass. Remember, A.J. Nance’s three-yard run from UK 27 on a fourth-and-one fake punt got the drive going.
- Debatable pass interference call on Mississippi State gives UK first down on a third-and-seven play. Cats now at MSU 39-yard line as Bulldogs call time with 4:38 left in third. Fans here didn’t think there was much debate about call, thinking it was a no call. Boo loudly.
- Cats run a fake punt on fourth-and-one from own 28, and thanks to A.J. Nance three-yard run picks up first.
- Attendance announced at 40,168.
- Holding penalty kills State drive. UK gets ball back via punt on own 18 with 7:34 left in quarter. Game tied 7-7.
- Kentucky ties it 7-7 with 11:08 left in third on five-yard Randall Cobb run. The 42-yard kick return by Dixon gave Cats ball at 47. Visitors needed nine plays to navigate the 53 yards. Picked up 10 yards on late-hit penalty by MSU’s Gary Pegues.
- Tony Dixon opens second half with 42-yard return.

That off-sides penalty was about 45 yds and possession.
Their kicking game is as bad as…uh…well…never mind.
I’ll bet they get another chance, though.
