Some leftovers from Saturday’s 17-14 loss at Alabama:
Kentucky’s 12 first downs were its fewest since posting just eight against Louisville in the 2006 season opener.
- Kentucky’s 35 rushing yards were the fewest since the Cats netted just 29 yards on 29 carries at Georgia last season.
- Alabama’s 282 rushing yards were the most by an opponent since Arkansas rushed for 338 last year in Fayetteville. Of course, that Arkansas team had McFadden and Jones. And Kentucky won that game.
- Derrick Locke caught a career-high eight passes for 81 yards.
- UK’s 35 rushing yards was the second fewest against Bama this season. The Tide held Clemson to exactly 0 net yards in the season opener.
- UK is remains in the nation in scoring defense (7.8 points per game), is second in the nation in pass efficiency defense (87.6 rating), 12th in total defense (259.4 yards per game) and 39th in rush defense (115 yards per game).
- Kentucky has allowed three offensive touchdowns in five games.
- Alabama now leads the series with UK 34-2-1.
- Dicky Lyons, Jr. has caught at least two passes in 25 consecutive games. He caught six at Bama.
- Braxton Kelley had a career-high 13 tackles at Alabama.
