Kenny Perry wanted to play well so badly. My fear was that he wanted it TOO badly and would tighten up. But he came through. His career isn’t over, but you have to figure this is the crown jewel for it.

I expected the U.S. team to win; looking at the singles lineup yesterday the U.S. should have been the favorite by about 7 1/2 to 8 points. There is no cause to blame Faldo; the Americans just played better. Very good to see things work out so well for Kenny Perry; he seems very deserving.

I love how Faldo gets skewered for putting Ian Poulter on the team, then when Poulter plays out of his mind all weekend totally vindicating Faldo, he get skewered again for not putting him out until late Sunday.

All I can say is watching Sergio Punch his golf bag on the 12th tee was worth the price of admission on Sunday and the fans were as gracious and probably more so than the Eurpean counterparts
