John Clay is a sports columnist for the Lexington Herald-Leader. A native of Paris, who graduated from George Rogers Clark High School in Winchester and the University of Kentucky, he has been with the H-L since 1981. He covered UK football from 1987-1999 before becoming sports columnist in 2000. This blog deals mainly with University of Kentucky sports, but occasionally takes side trips into other areas.
