Man should not live on sports alone, therefore I reserve the right to venture outside the lines from time-to-time.
Though a shameless commercial for the movie, starring Joaquin Phoenix and the ever-so-cute Reese Witherspoon, last night’s I Walk the Line
television tribute to the late Johnny Cash had more than a few moments, none better than Dwight Yoakam and the heavenly Alison Krauss combining talents on "If I Were a Carpenter."
An additional highlight: The on-screen appearance of a now 70-year-old Jerry Lee Lewis provided me the golden opportunity to introduce my 12-year-old to the details of "The Killer’s" colorful past.
FYI: Dwight is scheduled to be in Louisville tomorrow night at Coyote’s.

about the Alison Krauss/Dwight Yoakam performance…I’m a huge fan of her’s, and when she said he (Yoakam) was going to sing with her, I was wondering if he could do better with that song than Dan Tyminski – but I was surprised, it sounded great. That is such a great song anyway, I hope the recording will be made available.
